The Waterlefe Watch Association is comprised of the condo units on River Basin and Sea Turtle.  Condominiums have a fee for the exterior maintenance, insurance of their common property and property management.

Similar to the entire Waterlefe Community, The Watch Association operates under an official Declaration of Covenants that serves to guide the lifestyle residents enjoy. It is that time of year when “seasonal residents” start to head north to cooler climates. Please review the following suggestions that should be done to secure your home and reduce the possibility of “issues” in your absence.
  1. Turn off your main water supply to your unit outside your garage door. Turn off all faucets to sinks, tubs, and washer machines as a fail-safe.
  2. Close all drains in sinks and tubs and tape over drainage holes in sinks.
  3. All water heaters should be serviced and put on low or turned off. Pressure relief valves and all gas and water lines should be checked to make sure they are clear to permit drainage.
  4. All air-conditioning units should be serviced to include checking to see that all drain lines are clear.
  5. Put the thermostat at 78 degrees with your fan set to "Auto" to prevent mold. DO NOT turn your AC off.
  6. Open all of the interior doors to circulate air throughout the home
  7. Close all curtains and blinds to keep the heat out.
  8. Clean out refrigerators and freezers (don't forget the ice).
  9. Counteract the potential mold growth inside unused refrigerators, dishwashers and washing machines by leaving the doors open so they can dry out.
  10. Unplug anything that does not need to be plugged in to protect against lightning strikes.
  11. Install surge protectors throughout your home.
  12. Schedule pest control services.
  13. Bring in or cover lanai furniture.
  14. Lock all windows and doors.
Remember to provide Property Management up-to-date contact information and a current copy of your key for access in case of emergency.
